NGC 6992    Cygnus / Schwan
NGC 6992 is the eastern part of the huge Cirrus Nebula (supernova remnant) in the constellation Cygnus at a distance of about 2500 light years. A supernova remnant (SNR) is the structure resulting from the explosion of a star in a supernova.
