This wide field image shows Messier 109 (NGC 3992), a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Ursa Major.
The galaxy is about 80 million light years away and his appearent dimension is 7.6x4.7 acrmin.
Messier 109 was 1781 discovered by Pierre Méchain and 1783 by Charles Messier (it was his 109th object).
Together with the bright star in the upper right corner (Phecda, γ UMa) it gives a cute couple in this picture.
