Dark nebulae in the constellation Vela - listed as Sandqvist 111 & 112. There are further 2 interesting objects in the image: HH 46/47 - Herbig–Haro objects are small patches of nebulosity associated with newly born stars. The are formed when jets of gas ejected by young stars collide with clouds of nearby gas and dust. VDBH 16 - a young star in nebula. |
