Leo I (UGC 5470) - a dwarf galaxy in the constellation Lion at a distance of about 800.000 light-years and a diameter of 7.000 light-years. Leo I is a member of the Local Group and one of the most distant satellites of the Milky Way. The bright star is Regulus - α Leo.
