NGC 247    Cetus / Walfisch
NGC 247 ... but the highlights are in the background ...
Countless galaxies swirl in the background and make this image section something special. The most striking is the galaxy group NNW of NGC 247 - the so-called Burbidge Chain. The two upper galaxies also appear to have a tidal stream. Incredible details for such small objects.

NGC 247 (also known as Caldwell 62) and commonly known as the Claw Galaxy is an intermediate spiral galaxy (although it is sometimes classified as a dwarf spiral galaxy) about 11.1 Mly away in the constellation Cetus.
